Founder of Accord and a former Judge and Prosecutor, Mr. Obaid leads the firm with decades of experience across judicial, governmental, and legal leadership roles. Mohammad Obaid is a distinguished legal professional from the United Arab Emirates with a solid foundation in law and justice. He graduated with an LLB from Beirut University and holds a Higher Diploma in Science, Justice, and Law from the esteemed Higher Institute in Dubai.
With a robust career in the legal field, Mr. Obaid began his journey as a public prosecutor for the Government of Dubai, demonstrating a strong commitment to justice while effectively coordinating with Law enforcement and the Department of Justice. His expertise further expanded when he served as a Judge in Dubai Courts, where he presided over a diverse range of civil, commercial, labour, and criminal cases, contributing to several significant reported judgments.
In a pivotal role as the Head of the Legal Department at the Development Board in Dubai, Mr. Obaid was instrumental in advising on critical legal matters, drafting contracts, and ensuring legal compliance within the organisation. His passion for innovation led him to resign in 2005 to establish Accord International, where he now serves as Chairman.
As a licensed advocate in the UAE National Courts, he brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record in legal advocacy. Mr. Obaid has received a decree from the Ruler of Dubai, empowering him to represent the UAE Government in various litigation matters brought by it or against it at all stages of litigation Under his leadership, Accord International is leading the charge to become one of the first fully paperless and digitalised law firms in the UAE.
